Him_Self_Her and Kieran Fowke’s are back on track for Crosstown rebels with a vocal offering to the tune of their earlier 2013 collaboration “Inside Out.” Employed with the task of rolling out a full-package for “Gone Too Long,” Crosstown Rebels find an all-embracing criteria to cater to the more recent calling for deep and decadent house music. Whilst the original cut beautifully employs Fowkes to compliment an underground crossover of the highest caliber, Compuphonic and Yousef respectively don their hands to two more outside-of-the-box assets to the well-polished original. Say what you will about the influx of faux ‘deep house’ crossovers – “Gone Too Long” and its accompanying remodels marks a peak in the genre skyline not to be ignored by advocates new and old of melodic club music. The EP is available now on Juno, but is available on Beatport from September 30.Posted by
