Deniz Koyu releases video for ‘Rage,’ captures best of Generation Wild Tour

Months after the tour bus came to its stop, Deniz Koyu is still reliving the best moments from Generation Wild, his headlining tour alongside Danny Avila. After reliving the experience through his own mini documentary, Deniz reaches into the bank of footage to aid the music video for his latest single. With a title indicative of the what Generation Wild brought the nation, the visuals for the Refune-released “Rage” feature less  footage from behind the scenes and more behind the booth.

Ultra Europe adds NERVO, Deniz Koyu, Cazzette, Adam Beyer to its inaugural line-up

Ultra Europe

Ultra Europe has upped the ante with six further additions to the three-day debut in Croatia from July 12 through 14. The likes of Chase & Status, Cazzette and Deniz Koyu will join headliners Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren & Avicii across the two day spree at Poljud Stadium in Split, adding further spots from Adam Beyer and Yousef to extend the eclectic line-up. On top of the main event action, Aussie sisters Nervo will accompany Steve Aoki, Dada Life and Erick Morillo for the festival’s exclusive beachside finale at the Hotel Amfora Grand Beach Resort on Hvar Island. Set to stir more than 40,000 attendees and bringing UMF TV along for the ride for those unable to make the trip, Ultra Europe looks to successfully extend the reign of Ultra to pastures blue and gold this summer.

Deniz Koyu releases documentary from Generation Wild tour with Danny Avila, dBerrie, and Mikael Weermets

This winter, Deniz Koyu, Danny Avila, dBerrie, Mikael Weermets, and photographer Kirill took the road on their own tour bus for Generation Wild. The tour was an experience with a dimension beyond the music — it was a full fledged party from the sounds to the theatrics. The chemistry between the energetic DJs was evident in back-to-back-to-back sets that went into the morning hours, and Kirill’s champagne facials along with CO2 blasters from the booth had crowds across the US off their feet. If you missed Generation Wild in your city, it’s not too late to catch the action. Deniz Koyu has released the tour’s official documentary, taking fans in the booth, on the bus, and across the country.

Deniz Koyu – Rage (Original Mix)

Rage

Deniz Koyu continues his four letter domination this week, following “Tung” and “Bong” with another gem in the same vein. Coming off Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Records, his latest effort has been a staple along Swedish House Mafia’s One Last Tour and seeps with the anthemic Koyu sound. The aptly titled “Rage” made headway over the past two months, but its popularity is beginning to rise as Miami Music Week cools down and the Beatport release arrives.

Deniz Koyu – Rage (Original Mix) [Preview]

Deniz Koyu Rage

Already in heavy rotation on Swedish House Mafia’s ’One Last Tour,’ Deniz Koyu’s latest single has been cooking up a storm in the past few months. “Rage,” as it’s been aptly titled, has finally gotten its official preview. Although Refune Records has only given us a a quick build up, drop and outro, from the sound of it (as well as its tested live appeal), “Rage” is going to be a impressive release. The preview ends with an exaggerated tempo change which is certainly enticing in a genre of static, singular tempo productions. Will “Rage” live up to the warm reception of “Bong,” Koyu’s previous anthem? Find out when it’s released on March 25th.

Generation Wild: Deniz Koyu and Danny Avila provide fans with identity at Webster Hall

They’re not the Baby Boomers and they don’t comfortably fit between Generation Y and Generation X. They’re not listening to classic rock, old-school hip-hop, or boy band pop. The next generation of music fans are listening to electronic dance music. Without a label, however, they are in search of an identity to call their own.  This winter, a group of DJs and a nightlife photographer set out to attach that label and, in many ways, have brought the ‘wild’ out of their generation. The DJs? Deniz Koyu, Danny Avila, dBerrie, and Mikael Weermets. The photographer? Kirill Bichutsky. The movement? Generation Wild.

Making their stop at New York City’s Webster Hall, Koyu and Co. put on a clinic for the generation they’ve  dubbed “Wild.” Separating these fans from musical generations past, the team of party-provoking stars didn’t provide a concert — they provided an absurd identity for a generation in search of distinction.

dBerrie – Zenith (Original Mix) [Preview]

As dBerrie continues to lend his talents on the Generation Wild Tour alongside Deniz Koyu and Danny Avila, he also preps for a return to Fedde Le Grand‘s label Flamingo Records for a follow-up to his most recent release “Aquarius.” His latest production “Zenith” is a venture from his first original production of the new year which features the stunning vocals of Tatiana Owens. The New York-based producer replaces the bubbling house beat of “Aquarius” with a grinding bass-driven beat on “Zenith,” giving listeners a hard-edged house production. “Zenith” is due out March 25, but dBerrie decided to give fans a teaser of the powerful production today. Dirty South & Deniz Koyu – Halo (Original Mix)

artworks-000038814257-e079he-t500x500

Following a series of studio sessions (or hotel sessions), Dirty South and Deniz Koyu have finally released the mastered product of their highly anticipated collaboration. “Halo” is heavily influenced by Dirty South’s signature synth work — eerily similar to the pattern from his Michael Brun collaboration, “Rift.” Rather than backing Dragan’s progression with melodic juxtaposition as Brun did, Koyu throws his own chords in the mix to ensure a vibrant drop. “Halo” is the first release of 2013 for Phazing Records and sets the tone for what should be a stellar year both Dirty South and Deniz Koyu.

Pete Tong’s Essential Selection (2/1/2013)

PETE TONG

Before Eric Prydz blessed the world with his Essential Mix, Pete Tong took us through this week’s Essential New Tunes – a must-have list for all dance music enthusiasts who wish to stay on top of current releases. Beginning with Dirty South & Deniz Koyu’s, “Halo,” set to release Monday, spanning to Dimitri Vegas, Monguai & Like Mike’s massive new hit, “Mammoth,” to a cosmic new track from Jeremy Olander, “Let Me Feel.” Pete’s Essential New Tune of the Week was none other than Disclosure’s, “White Noise” – a song that reached #3 on the UK Dance iTunes Chart within a day of being released. 15 Minutes of Fame was spent with Russian prodigy Arty who chatted about life on the road, and played us Alesso’s famed mix of his song “When I See You,” in addition to his trance-induced remix of Zedd’s “Spectrum”. Full tracklist after the break.
