Win tickets to see Dillon Francis on his Wurld Turr from Dancing Astronaut

Our favorite DJ delinquent, Dillon Francis, is once again embarking on a World Tour (or should we say “Wurld Turr.”) Joined by the nu-disco duo Oliver, hot off the release of their Mechanical EP, Dillon is traveling the Northwest hemisphere with his unique sound and who gives a fuck attitude. For those of you outside of Los Angeles and New York City – including our neighbors to the North – we’ve got pairs of tickets to ten of the stops courtesy of the man himself.

Enter to win tickets after the break. Or buy them from your mom.

Social media has greatly enhanced the connection between fans and artists by allowing them to connect on a level far greater than that of a spectator. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have given us an unprecedented look into the lives of our modern day rockstars by taking us behind the booth, into their homes and studios, and even sometimes into their pasts. Click below the break to check out some of your favorite artists in their younger years and find out which superstars got an early start by strumming guitars or tickling the ivories. Dillon Francis – Bootleg Fireworks (The Rebirth) [Free Download]

DF

Cranking the bpms to 140, Dillon Francis has gifted us another magical trap rebirth of a moombahton original. Supported by a chorus of heavyset, James Earl-Jones lookalikes bantering “what” and “aye,” the “Bootleg Fireworks” revival sounds like a cross between David Banner and, well.. Dillstradamus. Just in time for the Munson’s and Teleflora consumerist holiday, our favorite unnatural blonde is tossing the Hershey’s kiss our way for the price of an email. We’re burning up for you too, Dillon.

Dada Life – So Young So High (Dillon Francis Remix)

6564954

Dada Life has called upon another one of dance music’s most prolific characters to remix “So Young So High,” their bubbly production off  The Rules of DadaDillon Francis takes his turn at the track, chopping up the electro crashes and high-pitched vocals while spinning the climaxes with his own trap elements. Francis leaves his mark on “So Young So High” without restraining Dada’s energy, simply turning up the dial on the chaos notch.
