Electric Zoo 2013 announces headliners and more for its two main stages

electric-zoo-2013-header

Festival season is in full swing and with it comes Electric Zoo‘s announcement of the headliners for the 2013 festival. Now celebrating its 5th year, the festival has upgraded to 5 stages, including a Main Stage East and a Main Stage West, a dynamic that is new for its 5th anniversary. With some of the biggest presences in dance music already on the lineup including Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Tiesto, David Guetta, Hardwell and more, it’s no wonder that the festival needed to make the unorthodox move to two main stages – the talent already on board is too large to contain.

Scheduled to be held Labor Day Weekend, August 30, 31st and September 1st, Electric Zoo 2013 has been changed to a strictly 18 and over event. Anyone who has purchased tickets and are under age will receive a full refund – apply here.

Purchase 3-day and VIP passes here.

Hop past the break to view the 30 acts that have been announced thus far.

Electric Zoo announces two main stages for 2013, phase one lineup on the way

Alesso-Electric-Zoo-NY-600-009

Electric Zoo has been the premier electronic music festival in New York City since 2009 and will be celebrating its fifth anniversary this summer. While it may not have the 15-year tenure as Ultra, it is the Big Apple’s pride event and, in typical New York fashion, is always looking to outshine the rest. That is exactly what Electric Zoo has done this year, announcing it will bring not one, but two main stages to its 2013 festival — Main Stage East and Main Stage West for five total stages.

Electric Zoo has also announced that phase one of the lineup will be coming soon.

Electric Zoo 2013 wants you to select the artists for next year’s festival

ez2012_logo

In the past, Made Event has done a great job of filling the Electric Zoo lineup with artists who meet fans’ myriad sonic preferences. From Above & Beyond, Tiesto, and Jack Beats to Marco Carola and Sasha, festival attendees have had the option to see both the big names and explore the underground. While their choices mostly appease everyone, there are always some names people feel have been erroneously left off the list. So this year, Made Event is giving us the option to help in the curation process with their lineup wishlist form. Just like with the Presidential Election, if you don’t vote you can’t complain so head here to enter your choices.

Click past the break to see my wishlist and let us know yours in the comments.
