Diplo & Swick – Keep It Gully [Preview]

artworks-000039570731-fu51hw-t500x500

In typical form, Diplo took to his social media accounts to unveil his latest production, a collaboration with Melbourne up-and-comer Swick. The Australian producer who is known for his tropical outputs, released an EP entitled Bubbles via the Mad Decent imprint Jeffree’s last year and is now back for more. Though only a snippet, “Keep It Gully” instantly oozes with both producers’ dancehall-inspired vibes driven by female vocal loops through the synthesized beat. Combining the sounds of reggae and moombahton, the two producers give listeners a sneak peak of what could be 2013′s “Express Youself.”

Click below the break to listen and expect the full release February 4.

Diplo has finally released the highly anticipated EP, Express Yourself, a unique six-track disc which features collaborations with Datsik, GTA, Lazerdisk Party Sex, and more. The offering is eclectic in every sense, with styles of electro ranging from both extremes and vocals coming from rappers and even reggae artists. Diplo’s reckless abandon is transparent on Express Yourself, as all six productions derail from the norm, presenting themselves as loud and beastly – exactly what you would expect from the Billboard cover boy. Listen to the EP below the break and let us know what you think of Diplo’s latest effort, which is available on Beatport and iTunes now.

British producer Timothy McKenzie, aka Labrinth, has made his name as a producer for some of the biggest British pop stars including: Tinie Tempah, Professor Green & Ellie Goulding. He just released his latest single, “Express Yourself” off his debut solo album, Electronic Earth. Dutch legend, Don Diablo, just uploaded a preview of his upcoming remix of “Express Yourself.” Diablo’s electro-funk remix makes for a much more interesting track than the original mix and we look forward to hearing the full version of this.
