With Kaskade back in his KMM swing, we can expect stellar mashups week in and week out. This time around, Mr. Freaks of Nature is dishing out two bootlegs — one downloadable, one streamable — both of which feature tunes from Tommy Trash. The first is Kaskade’s “Empty Streets” vocal upon Trash’s “Cascade,” which can be claimed from SoundCloud. London’s Francesca Lombardo returns to the Crosstown Rebels imprint with the release of the Eyes Of Nature EP — this time on the Rebellion arm of the noteworthy label. Quality over quantity seems to be her winning formula – and it’s more than apparent on her latest outing. “Eyes” — the lead track on the EP — is centered around a deep and wobbly bassline with stabs of dark and gloomy synths. “Wander and Wonder” features faint yet melodic piano lines around a dreamy chord progression, making it a dance floor bomb you can get fully lost in. With Halloween around the corner, expect these two spooky tunes to get play time at your next deep house show.

We posted the preview a few days back and the reaction has been a mixed bag to say the least. That being said, when you get that chainsaw madness running wild in a club, it really doesn’t matter what is going on or whether you are partial towards the music. The energy is what sets everything apart. We were lucky enough to see Swanky Tunes two weeks ago and this song added a nice change up to a set that featured a ton of pulsing basslines. Even the original mix isn’t a banger, but is used as an elegant change up to an industry that is made up of fast balls. Try them out again, listen to them live, and then start the banter.

R3hab and Swanky Tunes combined forces to create a stunning remix of Tiesto’s “Maximal Crazy” and their own production “Sending My Love.” This time they are on the same remix package of Kaskade’s “Eyes.” Interestingly enough, Kaskade has a remix of “Sending My Love” coming out in early December (sounds like these guys have formed quite the friendship). The original mix represented the definition of calm, while it wasn’t something that would send you off your feet it still gave you a ‘feel good’ sensation. Let’s see how both of these remixes differ from the original.
Initially when hearing Swanky Tunes’ rendition you will hear a chainsaw like sound right from the get go. You might have thought that this was R3hab’s remix, but it would be the Russian group that is responsible for this pulsing madness. These guys have been remixing much harder tracks such as Dada Life’s “Happy Violence” and “If You’re Lonely.” This one will definitely thump at a club near you.
R3hab takes full advantage of Mindy Gledhill’s sexy voice and then incorporates his craziness to create a drop that will sure as hell knock you on your ass. Stuff like this always works at shows because the energy stays at an all time high till the sun rises (check out our review of his Ruby Skye show).
We are fully aware that the original mix will be hard to top, but we still want to know what you guys think of these remixes. Sound off in the comments.
