Following the success of Avicii‘s bluegrass-infused originals “Wake Me Up” and “Hey Brother,” country artist Big Kenny saw an opportunity. The entrepreneurial singer, who makes up one-half of Big & Rich, plans to combine electronic and country music into a new festival called Electro Shine.
Fusing these two genres together, Big Kenny hopes to create a new festival experience for EDM and country fans everywhere. He plans on bringing in two giant circus tents for the venue, fully equipped with lasers, lots of fog and flying acrobats.
As for Electro Shine’s lineup, which has yet to be revealed, Big Kenny told Billboard: “Every now and then, like with the Mafia, you never know who’s going to show up… I plan on introducing a bunch of DJs and talent that nobody has seen before.”
Stay tuned to find out where Big Kenny plans to set down residency for Electro Shine’s festival debut.

Hot on the heels of Digital Dreams, Chasing Summer releases their after movie for their Calgary-based Canadian festival. City landmark imagery leads into festival footage of the frenzied crowds. Booth shots of the likes of Tiësto, Above & Beyond, Krewella, and Wolfgang Gartner show their command of the rhythmic up and down of the audience. Canada is indeed getting its share of ubiquitous dance festivals, and the video reaffirms the energy available to tap in the rest of North America.Posted by
If this lineup does not get you to buy tickets in mass, then we do not know what will. Boasting a roster of artists that has enough acts to compel festival goers to arrive early in the day, HARD’s Day of the Dead released the complete lineup for each of its festival stages. Beautifully designed, these poster images promise a massive weekend ahead.
Tucked away in North Carolina, the Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit is in its inaugural year. Unlike the typical festival headliners, this festival is unique in its curated lineup of artists. We cover a few in depth below – artists that have gone under the mainstream radar.

Digital Dreams this past year was massive, boasting a lineup of Tiesto, Porter Robinson, and Richie Hawtin just to name a few. Set during Canada’s national holiday, the festival spanned two days, and proved to be one of the largest Canadian events as throngs of fans gathered for the event.
Chronicled in the trailer above, the festival reached epic heights, and the event is told through a narrative perspective of an astronaut (of course!) as he traverses through the mobs of people at the stages. Canada was slowly been creeping on our radars as a massive dance music market, and this video confirms those whispers in the industry.
