Although Dutch electro-house duo Firebeatz kicked off their weekly radio show only a few weeks back, “Firebeatz FM” is quickly rising the ranks of “must-listen” podcasts in the sphere of electronic dance music. In addition to rattling through some of the biggest of the big room tracks of the moment like Mightyfools’ “Footrocker,” Knife Party’s “LRAD,” and Daddy’s Groove & Rob Adans’ “Unbelieveable. As an extra bonus for committed listeners, they even included an exclusive on their new collaboration with Chocolate Puma entitled “Sausage Fest.”

As Firebeatz continues to dominate 2013, their latest release establishes a more uptempo attitude than their usual outings. “Wonderful” employs airy lyrics overtop a bouncy beat but still employs an electro aesthetic as to not stray to far from their signature style. The track is definitely a fresh breath of progressive air and keeps us looking forward to Firebeatz next release.

With summer in the air, the beats are getting bouncier, the vocals more optimistic, and even hard hitters Firebeatz cannot prove immune to the season. Straying from their electro roots, the pair have unleashed “Wonderful,” a peppy melodic number with lighter layers and higher vocals than they’ve used before. Not ones to completely change tack, the tune breaks its upbeat reverie with a wobbling tempo change and throws in a quick build that takes the song from soothing to grooving. A breath of progressive air, the track is due out May 27th on Spinnin’ Records.
Firebeatz have already had a laudable 2013 with big releases on Spinnin’ and Fly Eye Records thus far. Adding to their list of top notch label releases, the duo’s newest single alongside fellow Dutchman Bobby Burns is out now on Musical Freedom. Receiving its name from the nasally pre-drop sample and various doorbell noises embedded throughout, “Ding Dong” is a vehicle of restless energy from start to finish. Beginning with a carefree, high-pitched melody and charging electro house drop, “Ding Dong” is supplemented by a brief chord-laden bridge before returning to its feverish acceleration.

Firebeatz and Bobby Burns have teamed up to give Musical Freedom its next booming record. The Firebeatz boys are coming off the success of “Gangster” and are looking towards “Yeahhhh” while Bobby Burns’ latest “Lemonade” is nearly a week old. Together, their forces bring a combination of their personal dance tactics to make “Ding Dong” a bass-heavy, electro-laden offering fitting for the nature of Tiësto’s imprint.
Release Date: April 30th
This week the Firebeatz boys have revealed they have more in common with Calvin Harris than Miami flight snafus. Fresh off the success of “Gangster,” the Dutch duo announced their next track, “Yeahhhh,” will be released on Harris’ Fly Eye Records. Keeping the electro heavy and the intensity up, the preview showcases a downright devastating build that peaks with, of course, a “yeah!” Though only 82 seconds, the teaser leaves us sufficiently teased – the full track will be released April 15th.
One of Holland’s more rambunctious duos has returned with another hard-hitting electro house tune. Firebeatz this week released “Gangster,” bringing their signature grimy sound into their first original of the year. First heard on Axis Episode 044, “Gangster” starts off fairly downtempo before building into a beat-heavy track with a tonal structure reminiscent of “Dear New York.” Released just in time for Miami Music Week, “Gangster” is guaranteed to be played out at Spinnin’ Records Nikki Beach party.

Today’s Good Morning Mix is brought to you by one of our favorite electro house Frenchmen, Gregori Klosman. Looking over the tracklist, you may recognize a large number of these tunes from our top tracks of November, but in that case this most recent episode of his Klosmania podcast will only serve as a pleasant reminder of the last month in big room — and largely harder-hitting — releases. Klosman features his own new collaboration as Reepublic, Hardwell’s megahit “Apollo,” Firebeatz, Tom Swoon, the Lunde Bros, and Archie just to give you an idea. Stream, download, and check out the tracklist below.

Firebeatz are as relentless as they come, delivering explosive tracks left and right. Following “Dear New York,” the duo strikes back in signature frenetic fashion with “Disque.” Sporadic synths play atop an intricate percussion arrangement, foreshadowing the deep, grungy drop that would ensue. Sparing no time for rest, the grinding electro hits hard through and through just as a dance track should.. Gaining and early buzz, Firebeatz’s “Disque” is now up for grabs on Beatport courtesy of Spinnin Records.

Firebeatz continue on their meteoric rise into the dance music consciousness with the dark, electro house stunner “Disque.” Fresh off the release of “Dear New York” and “Here We F*cking Go,” the Dutch duo deliver an electro-tinged production. Framed by tightly-wound arpeggios, throaty bass line wobbles, and gut-punching percussion, “Disque” strikes a delicate balance between progressive melodies and electro-industrial grit.
Set to be released on December 10th via Spinnin Records, “Disque” marks the 3rd high quality release from Firebeatz in just as many months.
Listen after the break.
