DA’s heroes of HARD Summer 2013
The rest of the world may be galavanting in Ibiza, clubbing in Berlin, or recovering from a once-in-a-lifetime experience at Tomorrowland, but fans of electronic music on the West Coast are gearing up for HARD Summer this weekend in Los Angeles. HARD Summer is part of Gary Richard's highly respected HARD brand, with other events like HARD Day of the Dead and now HARD Red Rocks taking center stage. Although HARD was acquired by Live Nation in June of last year, they've managed to maintain an air of authenticity to their brand and that brand is all about fewer furry boots and more quality music.
HARD announces its EDC Week pool party lineup, featuring Boys Noize, Fatboy Slim and more
Now celebrating its 10th year, the Rehab pool party at the Hard Rock Hotel was the first of its kind on the Vegas strip. In celebration of its 10-year anniversary and Insomniac's EDC-week the iconic pool party brand has teamed up with HARD to bring a heavy electro aesthetic to its history of poolside debauchery. On Sunday, June 23rd from 10am - 6pm, HARD's pool party will feature Boys Noize, Fatboy Slim, Claude VonStroke, Jacques Lu Cont, Alex Metric, Destructo and Oliver. In typical HARD fashion the lineup establishes a much less commercial appeal than many of its competitors - opting instead to feature some of the most talented and cutting edge artists in electronica.
HARD Summer 2013 announces its lineup, may contain puppies
Using the power of puppies to announce its lineup, HARD Summer unveils a star-studded lineup perfectly suited for the Los Angeles scene. With entire stages dedicated to Ed Banger and Dirtybird there is no shortage of envelope-pushing artists here; throw in some of the biggest names in their respective genres; Knife Party, Bassnectar, Baauer and more and you've got one of the most impressively curated lineups we've seen this festival season. Always tastemakers in the industry, HARD Summer continues its dedication to emerging talents with TNGHT, Oliver, Bondax, and Keys N' Krates all penciled in to perform. Have you ever wondered what Alvin Risk would look like if he were a canine? Or what type of dog Dillon Francis would be if he could lick himself? HARD Summer has all the answers.
