Flo Rida’s latest single ‘Can’t Believe It’: samples Infinity Ink’s ‘Infinity,’ pulls video inspiration from Diplo
In the latest example of rappers turning to dance music for catchy bass lines, Flo Rida and Pitbull have taken it upon themselves to (legally) obtain the very recognizable core of Infinity Ink's smash underground hit "Infinity" from last year. It's not much better than the Arty/Mat Zo - Will.i.am fiasco with the "Rebound" sample, but at the very least the rapper got permission to use the sample from Infinity Ink's management, as Mixmag reports.
Infinity Ink – Infinity (Claude VonStroke Remix) [Preview]
Teaming up with the respected Crosstown Rebels imprint, Claude VonStroke's take on Infinity Ink's "Infinity" has reached "Essential New Tune" status on Pete Tong's famed Radio 1 show not once, but twice. The track -- which is centered around a punchy bassline and retro-like vocals -- meets in the middle of gloom and groove -- giving it the proper dose of weird that we've come to expect from Claude.
Verboten and the Hot Creations crew take to the high seas
Verboten and the Hot Creations crew took to the high seas on a 1000-person mega-yacht comprised of two dance floors, multi-level outdoor lounge areas, accessible bars everywhere, and star-studded line up of world-class DJs. Hot Creations, the label curated by Jamie Jones and Lee Foss -- and who also make up the duo, Hot Natured, were the main attraction of the night, bringing along Infinity Ink, Robert James, and Richy Ahmed. For the last big show of the summer, Verboten pulled out all the stops.
