Oscar G, one half of legendary Miami house duo Murk, is out today with his most recent single “I Want Your Love” on Lo:Rise. Oscar G has been writing, producing and DJing for over 20 years and is not slowing a bit –we also featured “Die 4 U,” one of his releases with Ralph Falcón as Murk in the recent past. This track is raw and expressive, using distorted vintage piano chords with syncopated and exotic percussion to meld the classic with the modern. Noir, the Danish tech house DJ probably most well-known for his massive club track “Around” from 2011, is gearing up to release his Noir In The House compilation on Defected Records in late January and in doing so has also shared two new exclusive remixes.
Continuing on with ear for notable club tracks, Noir first gives us his edit of Intruder’s memorable “Amame.” The song is pretty gloom and doom but holds on to a silver of groove. Noir digs even farther back into the catalogue with his “2013 pull” of Jason Jinx and Paul Alexander’s “Your First Time” originally released in the early aughts. We’re still asking the same questions (Do you remember the first time you went out to the club? The first time you stepped on the dance floor?) but Noir unquestionably deepens the groove for a more modern tech house audience.
