Mumbai Science – Impact (Original + Remixes)

Mumbai Science, or Belgian duo Maarten Elen and Jonas Kiesekoms, are known for their hybrid sound of jacking electro house and brooding techno. They are the masterminds behind “Impact”– a new thumping techno single, which also comes with remixes by The Advent & Industrialyzer and John Roman. The track — their ninth release as a pair — features a menacing bass line with heavy electro stabs and driving rhythm.

On the remix package are legends Cisco Ferreira and Ricardo Rodriguez, who are known professionally as The Advent & Industrialyzer. The two have been making techno for over two decades and their skill set is more than apparent on this remix. Their take on “Impact” sees a more futuristic approach — bending the rules of what we perceive as techno and giving it more warehouse vibe. The up-and-coming John Roman speeds things up with darker elements like we’ve seen on Gesaffelstein tracks, but fits the mold of a club-ready banger with its uptempo chord play. The EP is set to release on January 14th.
