Best of the Rest is a daily feature from Dancing Astronaut that recaps the most important posts of the day as well as the stuff we didn’t get to. With the rapidity that dance music news and releases come out it’s difficult for us to hit everything — we hope BOTR serves as a catch-all. Make sure to check it out at the end of each day to ensure you don’t miss anything!
You guys seem to be liking our Good Morning Mixes, so today we have another blast from the not-so-distant past. Joachim Garraud and Steve Angello rang in the New Year when 2010 became 2011 at Roseland Ballroom NYC, and thanks to SiriusXM and SoundCloud, the set lives on. The first hour or so features a nice selection of tracks from Mr. Keytar himself, including Autoerotique’s “Bubonic” — a track that deserves to be brought back from the dead — and a live piano version of Coldplay’s “Clocks.” Steve’s set doesn’t quite go as underground as his Pacha NYC set from this weekend, but it’s definitely a great listen if you’ve become accustomed to 2012 SHM sets and want to hear what they sounded like back in 2010.
Before we start the mayhem of EDC Las Vegas, our ears have barely stopped ringing since EDC NY ended just over a week ago. We figured everyone likes to relive one of the greatest weekends in NJ. We wrote our hearts out and took over 3000 pictures to bring our fans the best coverage possible. Besides the old coverage we wanted to give you the Editor’s take on the overall experience of EDC . Click past the break for more and expect coverage like this a lot more because the summer is just starting.
You guys really liked when we shared the Sensation White sets from Belgium back in July, so we’re back with another set of ‘em from London’s edition. House4DJ has all the rips from the all-white affair, including sets from Martin Solveig, Sander Van Doorn, Joris Voorn, and Fedde Le Grand among others. Sander’s Sensation set from last time around was pretty damn good, and a quick look at all the tracklists reveals that there’s quite a bit of music to be enjoyed here. Head over to the via link below to get your downloading on, and be sure to shout out your fave in the comments.

If you aren’t one of the lucky 250,000 folks braving the heat out in Vegas, that doesn’t mean you can’t re-live it like you were there. House4DJ has posted many of our favorite sets from the massive festival, courtesy of Electric Area. There are almost too many to choose from, but we suggest starting with some Roger Sanchez, Manufactured Superstars, Cosmic Gate, and Martin Solveig. That should keep you occupied until the Day 3 sets hit tomorrow. Got a favorite set? Let us know in the comments.
