The much anticipated “Your Love” by Toolroom head honcho Mark Knight is finally here. In sampling Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” Knight uses a vocal effect over a deep and bouncy bassline to make what is sure to be one of the biggest tech house anthems of the summer. You may have heard this track played out over the past several months, but today you can head to Beatport to purchase your own copy and commence the heavy rotation.

The track has been renamed “Your Love” and Toolroom has treated Dancing Astronaut to an exclusive preview clip. The landmark collaboration between legendary acts Mark Knight, Sander van Doorn, and Underworld dubbed “Ten,” fittingly represents the ten-year anniversary the Toolroom imprint has arrived at this year. The coming together of these iconic names is an occasion worth noticing. If you look back on the 2009 conjoint between Mark Knight, D.Ramirez and Underworld on “Downpipe” — a song that is fastened into the abyss of dance music history — then you can understand the value of adding Sander van Doorn’s production prowess to this milestone release. From the lush lovestep of Seven Lions to the jazz-dub meanderings of Sub Motion Orchestra, a seven-piece live outfit situated somewhere between Adventure Club and Squarepusher, new artists are ensuring the oft-maligned genre continues to hold its own as an exciting and inspiring art form.
After extending a welcoming hand to bass music with the release of Noisia‘s tremendous “Nothing Matters” remix, Mark Knight is once again getting involved. This time, he’s lent his groovy tech house touch to Sub Motion Orchestra’s sultriest single “Thinking.” The Toolroom boss’s first release of 2013 showcases his funkier side with a buoyant bass and crisp layers of carefully chosen percussion that complement the track’s lovely vocals. New year, same old Mark Knight. No complaints here.
Capa rounds out the last Toolroom release of the year with “Chances” — a big-room, melodically infused progressive house track sure to pick up support from heavyweights across the scene. Adding to Toolroom’s onslaught of club-ready cuts, Capa delivers a synth-laden track with bombastic lead-play and a crashing drop. Expect 2013 to be a bigger year for the Swedish protégé, as Mark Knight has personally voiced his support as Capa being an artist to watch out for in the upcoming year.
