Back when MTV was primarily a music channel, music videos were almost as important as the songs themselves. The changing musical climate, however, has rendered music videos just a few notches above obsolete. Still, although no one is clamoring for them anymore, they’re still being released with some frequency. Almost a year after Otto Knows released “Million Voices,” or as I affectionately call it, the “E, E, E, E, E, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah, Ah” song, the Refune artist has uploaded a music video. It’s just a series moving mouth images, which is fitting for the tune.Posted by
In the large pool of talented dance music rookies, Otto Jettman – known internationally as Otto Knows – is perhaps the most promising young Swede of the crop. You’ve heard his music, but you probably haven’t heard from the man himself. In a recent interview with DMC World Magazine, Otto discusses his break through track, “Million Voices,” his Swedish Support system of Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso, and Avicii, a new single on the way, and more on the life behind his rising success.
“Million Voices” is one of the most played songs on my iPod and while I don’t think “Lies” will be taking that spot any time soon, it definitely has potential for a similarly successful appeal. The violin build, melodious synths, and addictive vocal all combine to create a majorly catchy tune. We have no doubt that attendees of All Mixed UP will hear “Lies” at least once. The track is set for release on September 17th.

You can add Otto Knows’ “Million Voices” to the list of quality tracks being released by Refune Records. We first heard an official preview of the track a few weeks ago, around when it was dropped on Sebastian Ingrosso’s Refune Radio podcast. According to Pete Tong, the track was originally called “No Inspiration” because Otto was experiencing producer’s block in the studio. If this is the kind of production he creates when he’s bored, well, it’s hard to imagine what he’s capable of when inspired.
This fun progressive track brings together a chorus of children’s voices and emotional building synths. Otto is proving that he knows what he’s doing in the studio, and we have to agree with Sebastian Ingrosso who has deemed him a “young blood” set to blow up in 2012. If you’re looking for more Otto goodness, check out his remixes of “Twisted Love” and “Hide and Seek“.

Otto Knows is fast becoming one of the top young talents in house music. Avicii and Sebastian Ingrosso are among his many fans and give a lot of support to his releases. Having just signed to Refune Records, Otto premiered his latest track on Ingrosso’s debut radio show yesterday. “Million Voices” is a melodic house tune that starts off tranquil with samples of singing children breaking up the emotional building synths, but it leads to a drop that definitely satisfies the driving club beat. We look forward to the February 8th release of the full version.
