Ministry of Sound releases ‘The Annual 2013’
Since 1995 the iconic dance music brand, Ministry of Sound, has put together a compilation of the biggest club hits of the year dubbed The Annual. This year, Ministry of Sound has once again created a sonic time machine of the timeless tracks from 2012. All of the usual suspects are present -- "Spectrum," "Million Voices," "Calling," "MoZart" and more all make appearances on the extensive 26-track compilation. As 2012 comes to a close, The Annual 2013 provides us with just the right amount of nostalgia for what may have been one the biggest year's for dance music in recent memory. Have a listen to the preview after the break and share with your favorite moments in 2012 that these tracks help define. For us, overplayed as it may be, even Tiesto's remix of Gotye's "Somebody I Used To Know" brings back memories of warmer weather on the beaches of Miami last March.
Porter Robinson & Mat Zo – Easy (Original Mix) [Preview]
In a bit of a dream team scenario, Porter Robinson & Mat Zo have exposed the first preview of their new collaboration, entitled "Easy." Pete Tong got the first play on this one last Friday on BBC Radio 1, but we also noticed Mat Zo played an extended version during his TATW 450 set over the weekend in Bangalore. Is this the tune of 2012? Maybe, maybe not. We can, however, confirm from the two minute clip here that "Easy" is a well-produced, feel good, and universally catchy track. We don't have specific details on the release, but sounds like it will be out on Ministry of Sound around the first of year.
