MYNC, owner and CEO of Cr2 Records, is our lucky number 56 guest mixer for Axis. In 2012, his track “Stadium” was hotter than hot, and moving forward in 2013 he’s already revamped the track into the vocal version “Searching” and sponsored one of the big Miami anthems from this year in “Miami Back Again.” When he has a moment to breathe, he directs the weekly Cr2 Live & Direct Radio Show and next year will celebrate 10 years with his label. Please welcome MYNC to Axis and enjoy the mix!
MYNC and Cr2 Records grabbed Miami Music Week 2013 by the horns with an exclusive compilation featuring Nari & Milani and R3hab as well as one of the biggest pool parties of the week. Performing alongside Dyro, Kryder, Michael Calfan (including a performance at Arkadia nightclub), MYNC and his rowdy band of Cr2 Records inductees left their mark on South Beach in a wake of blistering beats and bass. Rekindle your Miami memories with MYNC’s official aftermovie.Posted by
It’s been a promising year for American breakthrough outfit Disco Fries. Found holding the fort alongside Tommie Sunshine for Vicious Recordings earlier this year, the New York-based duo finds themselves in the hands of MYNC’s Cr2 Records imprint with a purebred peak time set-piece to add to their ever-expanding arsenal. The grinding festival formula is there and with tough yet exuberant stamina, Disco Fries look to be warming up considerably well for the foreseeable future.

With only four days until Ultra Music Festival and the beginning of Miami Music Week, big collaborations are popping off left and right. Last week saw Tiësto, Quintino, and Alvaro debut their UMF Anthem “United” while today R3hab, Nari & Milani, and MYNC’s collaborative effort has been released. Building on the rampant anticipation for MMW, the aptly titled “#MIAMIBACKAGAIN” is a charged, hollow-sounding dutch house production. The knocking high-pitched beat has that wild and frenetic energy only found in Miami in the latter weeks of March, and with just a few days to go, the track could not be more timely.

As Miami Music Week quickly approaches a veritable tidal wave of compilations and big name releases have flooded the dance music scene. One such compilation, Cr2 Live and Direct’s “Miami 2013″ adds rocket fuel to the Miami fire with three exclusive mixes from MYNC, R3hab and Nari & Milani. Each mix is a straight-shot of big room adrenaline, mainlining the biggest tracks in progressive and electro straight into your ear canals. If the recent barrage of festival-friendly releases hasn’t got your blood pumping then these three mixes will undoubtedly do the trick.
Let the Miami Music Week countdowns begin.
Cr2 Records Live & Direct Radio Show 100th episode delivers a 2-hour long, 29-track history lesson celebrating the label’s lengthy history. The perfect warm-up to your 2013 Miami trip, MYNC provides a snapshot of the big tracks of years goneby – moving through the past with classic Cr2 hits from Fedde Le Grand, Chuckie, David Guetta and Eric Prydz. The mix overflows with nostalgia before moving onto tracks from Miami 2012, Summer 2012 and more. Closing out with the “Future Bound” section of the mix sees MYNC featuring budding artists like Kryder and Duher alongside some new releases from Robbie Rivera and Jewelz and Scott Sparks, as well as the man behind the decks, MYNC himself, on the track “Searching.”
Tracklist after the break.
Hot off the release of their Ibiza 2012 compilation, MYNC and Mario Fischetti embarked on a five day journey throughout Brazil. The 5 minute video is backed by an incredible soundtrack of MYNC and Mario Fischetti productions including Mario’s unforgettable remix of Lykke Li’s “I Follow Rivers” and MYNC’s “Flashlight.”
We last saw newcomers Dyro and Loopers team up back in May with the release of their collaboration, “Monster Talk.” Loopers is back with a release entitled “Dealbreaker” on Cr2 Records and Dyro is loyally following up with a remix. Both of the tracks got their premieres on MYNC’s Cr2 Live and Direct radio show and although not terribly different in sound, both productions demonstrate a knowledge for the electro-inspired big room sound dominating live sets around the world today. These tracks will be released on Beatport on December 7th for your enjoyment, but check out previews below.
Avesta’s rendition of MYNC and Senadee’s “No Place Like Home” includes everything the original has to offer plus more. The pulsating percussions and extremely euphoric lead synths get followed by Avesta’s energetic grinding bass lines, which would work best in a big room setting. Releasing “Dutchano” on Laidback Luke’s MixMash and with an upcoming release on Tiesto’s Musical Freedom, Avesta is definitely on the road to success as a producer and DJ. “No Place Like Home” is available as a free download and it’s as easy as signing onto facebook and liking his page.
Update: We’ve just been notified that Avesta’s free track is part of a package of remixes being released by CR2 records. Included is a progressive take by Denzel Park, a thumping electro remix by Mario Fischetti, and a groovy chilled-out rendition by Electronic Youth.
MYMC’s “Stadium” is as suitable as a track title gets. Although it has the requisite qualities of most modern day big-room progressive house anthems, you can’t help but deny that its feel good vibe makes for a catchy offering. Its upbeat piano chord play and synthy breakdown come together for a nice summertime banger. This is one of those songs we love in its current state, but with a perfectly crafted vocal, it could be the icing on the cake. With festival season underway, watch out for some of our favorite bootleg-masters to have their own take on it.
