With the ground no longer vibrating beneath our feet and the beats done reverberating in our brains, it’s time for the Spring Awakening Day 2 round-up. With sets from Paul Oakenfold, Zeds Dead, Lucky Date and more, we could tell you about each set, each scream and each smile, but instead we’ve opted to tell you about the night based on what was left behind. We give you five things found on the ground at Spring Awakening this past Saturday.

Pharrell Williams is no stranger to the world of dance music, having teamed up with Swedish House Mafia, Paul Oakenfold, and most recently Daft Punk. The world famous artist is, however, a stranger to dance music’s paradise island of Ibiza — that is, until now. After making a splash with “Get Lucky” earlier this year, Pharrell will finally make his Ibiza season debut this July at Ushuaia. Making a special appearance for Pete Tong‘s opening Le Grand Bazaar party, Pharrell will join Nervo, Tato, and Pete himself on July 5th. The event will be broadcasted globally from the beach and tickets to attend are available now.Posted by
Indulging us in another week of dance music hits, Pete crowns Eric Prydz new track “Layers” not only as the one of the “most in demand tunes in the world” but also as his Essential New Tune. We also get to hear Nervo’s favorite picks for the weekly Goody Goodies, and witness Armand Van Helden as the fifth member knighted into Pete Tong’s Hall of Fame.
Kicking off the progressive take of Pete’s show, we are infiltrated with the Swedes including Sebastian Ingrosso & Axwell’s new Monster’s Inc tune “Roar,” the hyped of Carli remix of Ingrosso & Tommy Trash’s “Reload” and Axwell’s massive new tune “Centre of the Universe,” among others. Pete plays Disclosure’s “Grab Her” as his favorite cut off their new album ‘Settle.’
Nervo slides us through their current personal picks including Ummet Ozcan’s “Airport” and Mike Magoo’s “The Show” while talking about their upcoming album and Ibiza summer plans. Pete names his future new star as the Miami born techno star Danny Daze, while we finish off with a limited edition weekend hot mix from German deep house master Henrik Schwarz.

NERVO and Hook N Sling’s runaway smash hit “Reason” was an undeniable anthem during the summer of 2012 and the trio sought out aspiring bedroom producers to take a swing at remixing their festival favorite. Hundreds tried their hand at improving the flawless production and ROT (Republic of Trash) came away victorious with a People’s Choice nod from Talenthouse and support from the three Australians. Much more energetic and intense than the original, ROT’s approach breathes new life into Liv and Mim’s gorgeous vocal output with screaming electro arpeggios and a gut-punching kick drum.Posted by

Enroute to what looks to be one of their busiest summers on record, sisterly Aussie duo Nervo sees latest solo offering “Hold On” receive its first run of remixes from a mixed bag of eclectic club assets. Led with the punchy peak time resonance we have come to expect from Angger Dimas, the other side of the coin is filled considerably well by French heavyweight Fred Falke, whose warm and melodic knack for modern electronica proves an immediate highlight to the package. With Loudpvck extending the original to a tainted canvas of trap beats and high-end leads, Nervo’s universal appeal is tested with considerable force courtesy of this promising package picked from across global club land.
