We can officially add Dada Life to the list of artists ringing in the New Year in New York City. The 18+ event will be taking place at the appropriately named Dada Compound in Brooklyn and legal attendees will have access to a 3-hour open bar between 9PM and 12AM. Supporting acts for the evening are still unannounced but event coordinators have promised ”over the top production and plenty of surprises.” Options for the holiest party night of the year abound but we have no doubt that the duo will go out with a boing, clash, and a boom.
You can pop champagne at any club or venue, but you won’t be able to pop champagne and eat bananas anywhere else.
Tickets are go on sale tomorrow, November 27th at noon EST.
Update: Bassjackers and Deniz Koyu will be support for the evening.

The tri-state area’s already heavy-hitting New Year’s eve roster just got even more stacked with the announcement that Armin van Buuren will be ringing in 2013 at Pier 36. Last year Joonbug brought us Deadmau5 and this year they’ve upped the ante with the recently crowned #1 DJ in the world.
We know it’s going to be a tough decision with Tiesto, Afrojack, Sander van Doorn and Pretty Lights all on the same evening, but if you’ve never seen Armin before then we suggest you move him to the top of your list.
Tickets for the event go on sale November 9th at 12PM and additional information can be found here.

New York’s already stacked December 31st lineup just got even crazier with the announcement that Sander van Doorn will be ringing in the New Year at Pacha. With all the talent scheduled in the big apple, dance music fans have a difficult choice to make, but SvD is at the top of our list. His Electric Zoo set was one of our favorite performances from the festival and we were floored the last time we saw him at Pacha.
New Years should be a time of new beginnings and exploration, so this might be the perfect night if you’ve never seen him before . Tickets go on sale today at 5PM via Pacha.
We were looking back through our archives of photos and stumbled across this one of Avicii from Pier 94 on New Years Eve. The shot was taken a cool four months before Tim Bergling became the face of Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply, but eerily foreshadows the Swede’s modeling career. Tim’s expression leaves much to the imagination, so we decided to have a contest and let you submit your most creative captions for the photo seen above. Like our Top Tracks of Miami list, we’re letting you vote on the options and we’re letting anyone submit, so get creative! The list is embedded below.
