Laidback Luke is known to experiment as the label head of MixMash Records, often gambling on young talent with his The Ones To Watch series. Furthermore, Luke rolls the dice on yet another growing phenomenon, the genre of trap that has taken the dance music world by storm with a recent slew of provocative remixes.
The extended play — simply titled, MixMash Trap EP – begins with Oh Snap’s spin of the infamous “Turbulence” collaboration, and continues with a brand new original production from Oliver Twizt dubbed “3Chainz.” Next comes the brand new Saint Liz remix of Luke’s “Break The House Down,” and newcomer Twinz Beats is introduced with his own “Bass Gone Drop.” Jump below the break to listen to the breakthrough offerings in full.
These Oh Snap!! bootlegs have been hyped up pretty huge ever since Laidback Luke (who has been getting noticeably more and more into Dubstep over the last year) unleashed them upon the crowd at Coachella. Starting at 2:00 minutes in the video above LBL plays two tracks from the bootleg package, specifically “When Machete Takes Over” and “Big Boss is Coming Home.” We have had a few people write us about the bootlegs over the past week (thanks especially to Brian for the tips). Oh Snap!! decided to release the first track off the package yesterday. Download it right away and get excited for the rest of the package to drop soon. Oh Snap!!
