In anticipation for his forthcoming Paragon EP, set to be released on April 16th, Paper Diamond has debuted the EP’s second single as a free download. In typical Paper Diamond fashion, heavily compressed synthesis construct a chilling soundscape of echoing electronica driven forward by a bevy of syncopated percussion. Featuring the production touches of twin brother duo Christian Rich and the ethereal vocals of Angela McCluskey, “XIX” dabbles in a variety of genres, dipping its toes in trap and chillwave for what proves to be a match made in downtempo heaven.Posted by
The 2013 lineup for the infamous Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee has been announced and will feature a host of electronic artists including A-Trak, Boys Noize, Wolfgang Gartner, and Pretty Lights. In total, 2013′s cast of producers will nearly double from the five in 2012. From Porter Robinson to Four Tet, or Araabmuzik to Paper Diamond, Coachella’s less flashy cousin continues to welcome in the entire spectrum of electronica, pitting some of the genre’s top producers right alongside legendary artists like Tom Petty, Paul McCartney and the Beach Boys.

In less than five days, GLOWfest will make its next stop at West Virginia University for Homecoming and is bringing major talent to Morgantown. Porter Robinson and Zedd will spin back-to-back sets along with Bingo Players, Krewella, Paper Diamond, and local talent. Mr. Robinson and Zedd need no introduction – we predicted a huge year for Porter, and Zedd has unquestionably the inescapable smash single to date in 2012. Alex Botwin, performing under the moniker Paper Diamond, took some time at Electric Zoo 2012 to give us some insight into who he is, his philosophies, and projects. He had just finished wowing the growing crowd with a diverse set early Sunday afternoon. The set ranged from electro house to glitch hop including some of his own tracks such as “Levitate,” “Can We Go Up,” and “Time Flies,” which showcases his wide range of production skills and interests.
