Weekend Rewind: Paul and Fritz Kalkbrenner – Sky and Sand

sky-sand

Paul Kalkbrenner released Sky & Sand with his brother in 2009, but as is the case with all of our Weekend Rewind choices it has a timeless quality. The tune is one of the first I remember hearing when I began my descent down dance music’s rabbit hole and thus it remains engrained in my consciousness. Like last week’s Weekend Rewind selection — “Alone With You” — the track is repetitive, relaxing, and an easy listen. Each brother played an integral part in the techno creation with Paul acting as producer and Fritz lending vocals. Let “Sky & Sand” act as a mellow beginning to your crazy Saturday evenings.
