London house warrior T. Williams is out to spice up the equation on PMR Records with old school stamina. Since matching his Pain & Love EP with high-profile remix duties for Wretch 32 and Lianne La Havas, the powerful Brit producer deploys “Three Letters” at a time when nostalgic digressions are proving more than welcome. The track plays like rhythmically charged house music bred for the basement circuit, a surefire relief from the overproduced assets that have made the divide between mainstream and underground club fuel all the more apparent. As an early hint to the tone of his forthcoming Feelings Within EP, Williams looks set to take the third quarter on an unprecedented high. Catch the preview below and stay posted for the EP this August.
It’s only a matter of time before Cyril Hahn becomes a household name in the dance music world and it’s hard to believe that such a fine talent has gone this long without ever releasing a solo production. Those familiar with his earlier works know him for his unique edits to tracks like Destiny’s Child “Say My Name” and Mariah Carey “Touch My Body” — two tracks that collectively have racked up over two million plays on SoundCloud. This rising Swiss talent teams up with vocalist Shy Girl to showcase his forthcoming single, “Perfect Forms.” The track features beautiful piano lines, atmospheric chord sequences, and a delicate vocal to bring it all together. The track is set to release September 9th on PMR Records (also home to Disclosure), but in the meantime, you can jump past the break for more Cyril Hahn goodies.
With less than one week to go before the unveiling of their full-length debut Settle, British dance heavyweights Disclosure extend the pre-album hype with a fresh insight into the duos widely anticipated landmark. Dropping in the wake of the sample-savvy stylings of “When A Fire Starts To Burn,” the track continues the duo’s penchant for vocal club music with no sign of compromise where creative integrity is concerned. A scintillating canvas of humble melodic progressions and old school rhythmic sensibilities, “F For You” offers a formative peak in the duo’s ability to take from the industry’s melting pot of cultural influences, only to emerge with an eclectic streak of cutting edge club fuel. Hit more to hear the track and watch out for Settle, which drops on June 3. (more…)Posted by
In the wake of several exciting American festival appearances and their first-ever Vegas dayclub spot, the Disclosure boys have unleashed their third single from their upcoming debut album Settle, due out on June 3rd. Not only are Guy and Howard Lawrence pioneering their own fresh sounds, but it’s clear they’ve got a knack for recruiting sultry female vocalists to top off their expertly crafted productions. On “You & Me,” UK vocalist Eliza Doolittle does what Jessie Ware and Aluna of AlunaGeorge have before her in adding a smooth vocal hook to the jazzy production licks. Disclosure show no signs of slowing.Posted by
Guy and Howard, the boys of Disclosure, are at it again. The brothers and production duo uploaded a track in collaboration with fellow UK production team AlunaGeorge from their album set to be released on PMR Records later this year.
The track, “White Noise,” features both Disclosure’s typical bouncy production stylings as well as elements that dig even farther back into the archive of dance music sounds. It’s really amazing that despite their age, Disclosure has been able to research, adopt and reinvent the UK garage/two-step scene, driving it forward — almost effortlessly — into 2013. Enjoy the full stream below, we’ll report back with more details on the album as we find them.Posted by
