Laidback Luke ft. Majestic – Pogo (Dub Mix)

POGO

After making way for experimental trap releases, MixMash Trap EP and Oliver Twizt’s “Let Me See You Do It,” Laidback Luke returns to his label with a production of his own. Aptly titled, “Pogo” commands listeners — live and digital — to bounce along with its Dutch synth waves and animated drumline. Even the brief vocal stints from Majestic encourage “bouncing to the beat like you’re jumping on a pogo.” Suitable for one of Luke’s mainstage outings, his most recent effort is a prime example of his evolving sound.

Laidback Luke teases his dub mix of ‘Pogo’

Laidback Luke

Laidback Luke is easing listeners into the vocal mix of his upcoming tune “Pogo” by sharing a snippet of the dub mix first. The tune features Majestic on the vocals, a drop that reminds us of Afrojack, and, as the title implies — pogo sound effects. While “Pogo” may be too much for some during their morning commute, it will likely gain some traction on dance floors and at upcoming festivals. Some fans have been questioning the quality of LBL’s productions lately, but we have faith that he’ll hit his stride. Are you guys feeling Luke’s evolving style? Check on the preview from his own Mixmash below. We’re told we’ll hear more in February about the full release.
