walden-at-themid-32

Walden this, Walden that. The Aussie teen has made quite the buzz since landing on our artists to watch list. Dropping his second original production, “Intropial,” and a remix of The Only’s “Looking Back,” the rookie has satisfied studio efforts in the month of January — but he won’t stop there. Walden takes his turn on Anakyn’s “Point Blank” — which has previously been revisited by Nicky Romero – for another vocally sophisticated big room effort. Walden has solidified his signature sound, a mastered product of chords and strings that evokes a pristine sense of audio euphoria.

Anakyn – Point Blank (Nicky Romero Revisit)

Nicky Romero Beach Club

Fresh off his Nervo collaboration “Like Home,” Nicky Romero strikes back with an electro-tinged remix of Anakyn’s “Point Blank.” With its piano driven melody and feel-good vibe, Nicky dishes out his trademark contribution on the progressive end with an anticipating build and percussion to follow. One of the softer releases on any given Monday, Anakyn’s “Point Blank” with Romero’s rendition serves as the ideal mellow offering. Claim the remix, as well as the original, from Beatport via Big Beat.

Nicky-Romero-Electric-Zoo-2012-4

Nicky Romero’s edit of “Point Blank” was deservingly previewed last night as Pete Tong’s Essential Selection. Straying away from his usual grinding bass lines and heavy electro chords, Romero has taken a more gentle approach on this edit using blissful piano notes and euphoric melodies that give off nostalgic vibes. Still riding the wave of the massive “Sparks” release alongside Fedde Le Grand, and recently previewing his highly anticipated track “Iron” with Calvin Harris, Nicky Romero continuously proves why he is amongst dance music’s elite. There is no release date yet but we will keep you updated.
