Swedish House Mafia release interactive app for final shows

For those of us who just can’t seem to let the trio go, there is now a new way to experience the Mafia’s final show – this time in the form of a mobile app called Lisnr.  The app will allow concertgoers access to free exclusive content just by being present at SHM’s final show. The goal is to expand the visuals for the Masquerade Motel in Los Angeles and the groups’ two final shows at Ultra Music Festival by enhancing the viewing experience.  What that means we are not entirely sure, but since most fans already have their phones out Instagramming and recording the event, a mobile application was a logical move. Axwell had this to say; “”[This] will allow us to come together with our fans for a totally unique experience. Together, as one, for one last rave!””

Dancing Astronaut Presents The Biggest Tracks of 2012: 20-11

eoy-biggest-tracks-2012-20-11

It’s inevitable that countdowns will always spark controversy, that’s just the nature of the beast. Some tracks will be snubbed, some overlooked, and some ranked higher than you may have expected. We’ve already gone over our ranking criteria at length but despite our own self-imposed guidelines2012 proved to be more difficult to rank than years past. With the EDM explosion officially in full swing throughout the year, the sheer number of releases was mind numbing, and — consequently — nearly impossible to rank. There has been no greater challenge for the editors at Dancing Astronaut than creating the list of the Biggest Tracks of 2012.

You have already heard the picks for the biggest tracks of 2012; 50-41, 40-31, and 30-21 now check out which tracks made 20-11 below the break.

10 tracks to celebrate the End of the World

2012

Well, as predicated by the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar, it’s the end of the world as we know it. Unfortunately, only one of us is John Cusack, so the rest of us have no choice but to party into oblivion. At least we can thank the Mayans for conceding doomsday to a Friday. To accompany Armageddon, we have provided a list of tunes that will add appropriate theme music to the backdrop of imminent annihilation. Hopefully, you can find consolation in their uplifting message. Godspeed.

SHM_OneLastTour

It’s not over yet, folks.
