If you’re looking for some chill music to daze off to this Saturday, we’ve got you covered. Australian sensation Flume has been welding a deep impression around the globe after releasing his self-titled album last November, one which was featured on our top Albums & EP’s of 2012. His hit single “Sleepless” spent several weeks at #1 on the Australian iTunes Electronic Charts, and Beatport recently named him their #2 artist of 2012 – all of which will come as no surprise after he entrants you into his uniquely hypnotizing sound. The boiler room mix spins us through future garage, downtempo, glitch hop and even some Biggie Smalls, including emotionally driven songs like “Left Alone”and “Insanity.” Full set and tracklist below the break.
Flume‘s original of “Sleepless” off his self-titled album is pretty perfect, but we’re going to argue that we like rising star Charles Murdoch’s remix from back in October even more. In a stroke of downloading luck, we’re getting this one from Future Classic for free as part of the continued lead up to their stage at Australia’s Laneway Festival in February. Call it chillwave, call it dream pop, just make you sure you listen and appreciate it.Posted by
