With dozens of festivals popping up as the EDM bubble continues its precarious swell, lineups start to meld together, sets start to sound similar, and it becomes very difficult for any particular act to stand out. Yet after letting the Spring Awakening wave fully wash over us, there was one set that refused to sink back into blur, and that set was Nero’s.
With just hours until Soldier Field plays host to EDM heavyweights and their eager fans at Spring Awakening, the team over at React Presents invites you to take a minute to appreciate the effort that went into building the stages you’ll soon be screaming at. With a football field, a forklift, and ducks making cameos, the video ends on a cliffhanger: The final touches will only be revealed when the gates open at 3:30 p.m this afternoon.Posted by

Spring Awakening is set to return to Chicago’s Soldier Field this June, building on last year’s success and covering not two but three days, all while holding its own amongst the city’s packed summer festival schedule. With big names like Calvin Harris, Paul Oakenfold, and Boys Noize and 100-some other top acts besides, we’ve compiled the artists we simply can’t miss to help you solve the quandary of so many artists, so little time.
The Chicago-based Spring Awakening Music Festival is back for its second year, and early bird tickets are on sale now. The festival is expanding from two to three days and is set to take place Friday, June 14th through Sunday, June 16th at Soldier Field (rave in a football stadium!). The early bird ticket for this three day festival is now set at a very reasonable $65 price. Last year the lineup featured powerhouse headliner names like Skrillex, Afrojack, Moby, Diplo, A-Trak, Ferry Corsten, and Markus Schulz –to name a few. Between this, the newly announced EDC Chicago, and Lollapalooza, Chicago is shaping up to be a veritable festival city this season.
UPDATE: First round of early bird tickets are now sold out.
