In 2009, before Afrojack had exploded onto the scene with his popular bleep-heavy sound, he released a calm and bouncy track dubbed “Radioman” — and it has been resting in the archives ever since. However, over three years later, Russian house producer Duher is giving the production a modernized spin. Injecting a proper dose of frenetic electro, Duher takes the peaceful tune to the next level with a twist that is more along the lines of a 2012 Afrojack offering. Fresh from Strictly Rhythm, claim the resurrected “Radioman” from Beatport today.
Over the past year, James Somani and Morten Olsen have begun to establish themselves as a production duo to watch, receiving support from Diplo and Laidback Luke. After their impressive success with a slew of remixes earlier this year, Faustix & Imanos return with their first original release of 2012, “Ambulance.” A progressive/acid house hybrid that builds with big room, progressive synths and then smashes the dancefloor with a bone-rattling acid breakdown. Producers often find it hard translating their remixing abilities into original work, but these two have done it with ease. Released today as a free download via Strictly Rhythm this one is too good to overlook.
