Spanning airwaves across the globe, Pete Tong has expanded his weekly routines from duties from BBC to, now, iHeartRadio with his Evolution radio show. Most recently serving Pete with a guest mix, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano test the sound of their recently concluded Sensation America run with a 60-minute outing. Delivering grand scale emotion with a balance of beat-driven house in their live sets, the duo further nail that rift for their Evolution mix with notable tracks ranging from Andrey Exx & Fomichev’s remix of “Groovejet” to Uto Karem’s take on “Sunshine.”
Now in its 25th year and still drawing thousands of artists, industry professionals and fans from across the globe, Amsterdam Dance Event remains crucial to the industry calendar. With a considerably more ‘work’ focused agenda than its American cousins, the play-hard factor of ADE remains a huge pull to labels, artists and even fans looking to get stuck in amongst this professional dance mecca. For 2013, however, the festival agenda has flown into positive overdrive. With a record number of parties from across the industry spectrum set to keep heads from pillows throughout the conference, our editors banded together to scope the events you should be hitting across the five-day event. With over 300 artists and 38 hours of overlapping music this weekend, the number of tracks heard at TomorrowWorld is somewhere in the thousands. While not even almighty Internet can spit out a list of every tune that received play time in the Chattahoochee Hills, a few tracks were heard again and again, earning anthem status and a firm spot in the memory of the Main Stage attendees. While some older tracks like “In My Mind,” “Wakanda” and “Reload” still frequently made their way into sets, we’ve compiled the ten tunes that defined the most recent chapter in the Book Of Wisdom.
“Dance to the sound of the underground,” the phrase that’s unarguably been most played by DJs and shouted by fans during dance music’s lengthy festival season. That brief vocal hook atop one of the summer’s most desirable beats makes for “SOTU,” the highly anticipated collaboration between Nicky Romero, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano that’s finally been released on Size Records. The track’s ability to draw the tribal energy that Sunnery and Ryan are known for along with the booming electro house of Romero make “SOTU” a translatable record that doesn’t discriminate against venues, preferences, or atmospheres.

The “sound of the underground” lyric loop is still ringing from festival season, and now Nicky Romero and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano are ready to unleash their massive collaboration. Titled “Underground,” the latest from the three-some is sized up for festival stages with a gritty underscore representative of more tribal-geared house. A unanimous anthem around the world at festivals such as Tomorrowland, Nicky, Sunnery and Ryan’s “Underground” will finally be released on September 30th via Size Records.Posted by
When given the honor of creating the official anthem of The Netherlands’ Dance Valley Festival, most artists go big or go home. The unofficial Woodstock of Dance, this year the festival drew such names as Hardwell, Alesso, Nervo and more, all filling five stages for one jam-packed day. Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano were tasked with creating the theme song for the event, and they teamed up with DubVision on “Triton” to do so. The tune relies on bold synths, an irresistible beat and stadium-sized builds to capture the essence of the festival, transporting listeners from around the globe straight to the heart of the chaos. Released on Spinnin’ Records, the track may just hold you over until the festival reconvenes next year.

With its infamous summer clubbing season now well underway, you would struggle to find a European destination more hotly discussed among clubbers than Ibiza. An island famed for its past hedonistic attributes, unparalleled clubbing experiences and more surprisingly, some damn good sushi, the White Isle sees more DJs per square foot than any other European hotspot in the world. Though its club circuit saw a lot of chops and changes on the approach to 2013, there has never been a better time to experience the island for its lesser known attributes. Dancing Astronaut tapped a host of the island’s frequent flyers to scope the secrets and spoils of Balearic clubbing straight from the DJ’s mouth. Hit more to learn the ropes from our all-star panel of guests.
