Encore Beach Club opens April 21st with Steve Angello, Tiesto on the 22nd

steve angello encore

Encore Beach Club is preparing to re-open its doors as soon as the Las Vegas weather allows, and of course they’re doing it big. Things get underway for spring previews in just a few weeks on March 17th, at which point the club will be open each weekend until the grand opening on April 21st. Steve Angello has the honors of kicking things off with AN21 on the first official party of the summer, while Tiesto will take the decks on Sunday April 22nd. Encore Beach Club will be open Friday thru Sunday throughout the summer, with “Daystar Sundays,” “Recess Friday” theme parties, and even more DJs on Saturdays. There’s no shortage of impressive talent that’ll be making its way to the decks before the summer comes to a close — think Afrojack, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris. You know what that means: you should probably try to fit this into your schedule should you find yourself in Vegas this summer.

Tiesto ‘In The Booth’ episode 7 brings the ’076′ to the Great White North

Tiesto is back with another episode of “In The Booth,” and this time we’re going to the Great White North — Canada. Appropriately, he kicks things off by playing a white party in Montreal with his hometime buddy Hardwell. The two bond over their shared 076 area code, and Hardwell even joins Tijs on stage where they drop the track together. Tiesto reflects on the love he’s received from the Canadian fans, enjoys some Starbucks, and then heads over to yet another arena for yet another show. We won’t keep you with our own recaps any longer — just push play and see for yourself.

Albin Myers – Hells Bells (Original Mix)

albinmyers

Rising to fame with his remix of “Fade into Darkness” and bootleg of “Don’t Give Up” with Norman Doray, Swedish Producer Albin Myers has been keeping his momentum going. “Hells Bells” was featured on the ‘Miami 2012′compilation by Nicky Romero and MYNC, but this is one song that deserves a shoutout of its own. The beat has an electro buildup and drops to an extremely hard bass line — which has already attracted the likes of Tiesto, who has already begun dropping this in his sets. “Hells Bells” is out now on Beatport, and you can bet we will see this on many setlists in Miami.

Tiesto ‘In The Booth’ episode 6 takes us to more European countries…and the bathroom

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8q8DYbPpwT8

In episode 6 of Tiesto’s “In The Booth” series we travel around the world to the Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, and the EDM holy land — Ibiza. Tiesto even takes us on what might be our most personal journey with him yet, a trip to the bathroom. If his humorous antics and generally humble demeanor haven’t already made you feel like a friend, then perhaps this will do the trick. As usual there are lots of lights, good music, screaming fans, and high octane energy but that isn’t our favorite part. The highlight of this installment is when Tiesto attempts to shoot an apple off his manager’s head when uncorking a champagne bottle. To see if the always entertaining Kelly Cobb gets to keep his head, click play on the video above.

Tiesto launches iPhone app with exclusive hour-long Home Depot Center video

Tiesto-App-Screenshots

Tiesto has been on a roll lately, launching a clothing line and a radio station, announcing a residency in Las Vegas, and producing a multi-part online video series seems like a lot for a producer. Well, now we can add “release an iPhone app” to that list, as a new offering has just gone live in Apple’s App Store. The app will stream episodes of Tiesto’s Club Life podcast and unlock special functionality on his “In The Booth” website. The app also includes an hour of streaming video from Tiesto’s massive 2011 LA show at the Home Depot Center, which is pretty cool if the download isn’t quite doing it for you. Unfortunately it’s not a free app, but the $.99 asking price is way less than a concert ticket — and not worth complaining about. If you download it, let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Tiesto brings us South of the border with ‘In The Booth’ episode 5

After Ibiza’s closing party, and a hectic night with shows in Paris then Morocco, Tiësto heads west for a more standard schedule. In the fifth installment of “In the Booth” we follow Tijs through his Mexico tour. The crew hits a speed bump in Cabo San Lucas when the crowd barriers and the stage were deemed unsafe by management.  After an emergency meeting, Tiësto informs his loving Twitter fans of a poolside performance instead of a cancellation. His fans showed him nothing but love as he kept the beats flowing.

With Tiësto’s first Mexico tour wrapped up, producers rewound to the beginning of the summer for America’s largest electronic dance music festival, Electric Daisy Carnival. Mr. Verwest arrives by helicopter and after some golf cart antics, he takes to the main stage to headline for the enormous crowd at EDC. Next week Tiësto gets into the zone for an extra long set in Bucharest, so feel free to watch past episodes in the meantime.

Tiesto In The Booth’ Episode 4 brings even more jet-setting to YouTube

If you’ve been following along with Tiesto’s “In The Booth” series so far, you know that we’ve already spanned multiple continents, been in Breda, Vegas, and Miami, and jetted around the world in the Tijs’ jet. This episode starts off at the monstrous Inox Festival in Paris, where manager Kelly Cobb gives some welcomed advice on the dangers of smoking.

Nearly just as soon as he lands in France, Tiesto’s back on the jet headed to Morocco for round two in the same night. Regardless of a forgotten jacket, he next heads to Ibiza, which is “nothing like [anything] throughout the world.” It shows a good bit of behind-the-scenes at Privilege, which is the largest club in the world and Tiesto’s home on the White Isle. Is it just us, or does mainstream TV desperately need a DJ lives reality TV show?

Tiesto announces 2012 Las Vegas residencies at Encore Beach Club, XS, and Surrender

We’ll admit that a world-class DJ like Tiesto never really seemed like the kind of guy to have a residency in a spot called “The Joint,” but thankfully he’s doing things a bit bigger for 2012. Our top EDM act of 2011 has announced that he’s relocating to the Wynn / Encore for exclusive residencies at Encore Beach Club, Surrender, and XS. These are three of Dancing Astronaut’s favorite places to party when in the City of Sin, and we’re excited for all that Tijs has in store for the year. His official debut will take place at XS on Saturday February 4th as part of the Super Bowl weekend festivities. Tickets are available for purchase now; from past experience, you should probably get there early.

Tiesto ‘In The Booth’ episode 3 takes us to Breda and Miami

For episode 3 of “In The Booth,” we head South with Tiesto to the beach paradise of Miami. While we’ve already seen him in action in Vegas and LA, there’s simply nothing like watching him at Ultra Music Festival playing to over 50,000 fans. Of course, this episode also incorporates footage from Tiesto’s hometown of Breda, Holland, which just-so happens to be the inspiration of the title for his track with Hardwell, “Zero 76.” This is yet another awesome behind-the-scenes look at life with the world’s biggest DJ, and it may also be the best EDM web video series ever made. It takes “Take One” to a whole new level, and just feels so authentic and real. We’re glad the series isn’t over just yet, and we’re even prouder of our number one EDM act of the year.

Tiesto ‘In The Booth’ episode 2 now available online: what happens in Vegas, ends up on YouTube

Yesterday we brought you part 1 of Tiesto’s “In The Booth” series, and today we’re back with part 2. This installment shows what happens when Tiesto comes to Las Vegas, and plays not only one party in Sin City, but two. Tiesto takes us to Wet Republic for a slamming pool party and then to the Joint, where he talks about his residency — which has since moved to XS at Wynn / Encore — and deals with a slight power issue. We’re loving this whole video series, so stay tuned for even more.
