Having already established himself with fashion brand Guess, Tiesto continues his world domination with a custom set of AKG Headphones. Enlisting the help of the gorgeous Melanie Iglesias, Tiesto and AKG have put together a flipbook video of Melanie in a variety of different outfits to promote the new line. I’m not quite sure what the two have to do with one another, but I just ordered 10 pairs. I guess that’s how effective marketing works?
Last week we brought you Hard Rock Sofa’s big room mix of David Guetta’s “Just One Last Time,” and now the track has come repackaged with brand new remixes from Tiesto and Deniz Koyu. Fresh off his album remode, Nothing But The Beat 2.0, Guetta’s translatable pop vocal from Taped Rai lends itself to sounds across the board. Tiesto’s remix embodies the big room feel, laced with thumping progression and complimented with building melodies. Koyu’s rendition is a plunge into electro, following the hook with frenzied distortion and rolling grunge. Listent to Guetta’s latest remixes and find them downloadable from Beatport.

Tiesto and (RED) have partnered up to raise awareness for the transmission, treatment and elimination of HIV. A global event, scheduled in conjunction with World AIDS Day on December 1st, 2012, will see Tiesto and a slew of top tier EDM acts showing their support by turning their music (RED).
“Having Tiesto engage his strong following to help (RED) deliver an AIDS-free generation is a dream true for us,” (RED) CEO Deborah Dugan tells Billboard.biz. “This is just the kind of firepower we need to bring the world’s attention to the fact that we can end AIDS; a notion that was considered virtually impossible a decade ago.”
XS Las Vegas is out with its New Year’s Eve Weekend lineup, and it does not disappoint. Canadian producers Sultan & Ned Shepard have been releasing dance music as far back as 2007, but only recently really gaining steam and grabbing attention with big room hits like “Walls” (featured on Tiesto’s Club Life Vol. 2) and “Somebody to Love” with Dirty Vegas and collabs on huge tracks like Morgan Page’s “In The Air.” Now they’re back again with a free download of a new track called “Organ Donor” from their Facebook page. On this one, they strip out the poppier big room sound they’ve become recognized for and replace it with a sinister intro, minor chord progressions, and a heavier electro break.
Drum ‘n’ bass fans rejoice! Welsh producer High Contrast delivers a killer remix of hip-hop MC Plan B’s latest single from his ill Manors album. This should come as no surprise, High Contrast has been in the game for over a decade and has remixed everyone from Tiesto to Kanye to Adele into a quality drum-and-bass tune. If his remixing resume isn’t enough, he also won Essential Mix of the Year in 2007. In classic DnB style, High Contrast incorporates an uptempo syncopated breakbeat and deep bassline with Plan B’s original guitar, strings, and piano melodies. Careful, you may be tempted to get out of your seat when you hear this one. Download the remix and also check out Plan B’s original mix after the break.
