Chicago electro dub-pop trio is the group that is taking the world by storm with no plans to stop. A month into their nationwide Get Wet Tour in collaboration with their massively successful debut full-length album Get Wet, you would think the group is busy enough. Adding to their belt of successes, just this morning, the group took to Good Morning America to debut “Live For the Night” as the first electronic music act to perform for a major national television show. However, despite the group’s hectic schedule and colossal triumphs for dance music, Krewella remembers to remain true to their roots and their fans. Today, in celebration of Halloween, the trio has released the sixth edition of their Troll mix series. To no surprise, the trio showcases their unrepressed talent by transitioning through some of the best remixes of their Get Wet hits including Pegboard Nerds, KillaGraham, and their supporting tour artist Candyland. There’s a taste of something sweet for everyone in this hour long mix, ranging from dubstep to hardstyle and even a hint of trance with Armin van Buuren’s “This Is What It Feels Like.”Posted by
Before debuting high atop the charts with their debut studio album, Krewella showcased their talents with their signature Troll mixes. Returning with the fifth installment of their mix series, the trio dedicate their latest to Get Wet, delivering the sounds of their full-length offering through an animated prism. Between album offerings comes tracks from Headhunters, R3hab, and Showtek among others, bridging their own energy with those of their electro counterparts.Posted by
As Krewella continues along the Play Hard Tour that saw them make a surprise stop in Indiana, they show love to those unable to ditch finals to play with the Krew as well. The trio has released Troll Mix Vol. 4, “Get Ripped Or Die Trying,” as a free download, slamming 47 tracks into 60 minutes. Though Jahan and Yasmine’s vocals took the backseat in the mix, the tracklist runs the gamut of hard dance, going from trap to dubstep to progressive trance to moombathon and back again at dizzying speeds: If Sum 41, Carnage, and Armin van Buuren could coexist anywhere, it would be here. A sampler platter of Krew tastes, “Get Ripped Or Die Trying” is available for a free rip here. Full tracklist after the break.
Krewella released their genre-melding mix, aptly monikered “Makeout Edition,” on Valentine’s day for their Troll Mix series a couple days ago. While showcasing many of the stand-out chillstep tracks from the past few months, it also included remixes of their own tracks from their Play Hard EP such as “Alive,” “One Minute,” and “Can’t Control Myself.” The transcendant vocals of each track flow from one to the other, rising and falling while carrying emotions from one bass drop to the next.
