Waze & Odyssey have kind of been everywhere in the last year, releasing tracks and EPs on their own W&O Street Tracks, Petfood, Disco Bloodbath, and now most recently on Kerri Chandler’s MadTech Records. “Be Right There,” the title track off their newest EP, is not in anyway a departure from the majority of the work coming from these two New York/Toronto producers. It’s punchy and heavy on the fading — vintage garage-house to the max. It’s not exactly a peak hour weapon, but there’s no doubt it’ll keep you shuffling. UK production team Waze & Odyssey just released their second EP in less than a month and there’s no sign of slowing. I Want You You You, the follow-up Love Attack is a collection of two originals — “I Want You You You” and “Our World.” The title track gives off those glamorous deep house undertones and bubbling synths positioned under echoey vocal loops.
“Our World” speeds up the shuffle a bit into a more classic house joint but relies on similar tricks to please the ears. The remix from LA-based Split Secs, however, morphs the track into a dark and riveting production with starling percussive touches and an anxious build into an all-systems-go type break. We’re dying to see what else Split Secs has got after hearing this one. Grab the EP on Beatport, out yesterday on Throne of Blood.

The illusive production team Waze & Odyssey have released their latest effort, Love Attack EP, today on Disco Bloodbath Recordings. Not only has the duo garnered a significant amount of attention on Pete Tong’s recent Essential Selection radio shows, but we’ve also seen them remix some of today’s newest and hottest talents, like Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs and Disclosure.
Waze & Odyssey last released a remix for Damon Martin’s “That Ain’t Right” on Disco Bloodbath and have since been pumping out tracks on their own new label, Waze & Odyssey Street Tracks. Love Attack EP features two brilliant W&O originals, “Love Attack” and “She’s a Hooker” in addition to a distinctive Mark E remix of the title track. Stream the full EP after the break.
