Solidisco amplify their electro-driven disco productions as nu-disco continues to gain power into the new year. The duo, hailing from Buffalo, NY, first impressed us with “Set Me Free” back in September and we haven’t been able to get enough their classic disco vibes since.
The duo’s latest remix abides to Solidisco’s seemingly signature 70s flavor, giving the Benny Benassi-produced, Anjulie track “You and I” a funky makeover. Their rendition of the track walks the line between modern and retro with forceful synths and penetrating kick drums, creating a rework with a glittering disco ball appeal.

Dubvision is slowly but surely making a name for itself with uplifting, highly-musical tracks, and the latest release with Project 46 is no exception. “You & I” boasts the gentle, soothing vocals of Donna Lewis that you will probably find yourself singing along to after just a few listens. The big-room synths are easy to listen to, but there’s still enough oomph in the track to make it a proven festival banger.
Thomas Gold included it in his Governors Island set back in August, and that’s usually a good sign for any unreleased track. Between this new offering and DubVision’s ID remix played by Axwell at Electric Zoo, don’t be surprised if you start hearing this name more and more. Just remember who told you first, okay?
